  1. I don't have any belief in lucky or unlucky numbers, but other people's beliefs about them does influence me, so I guess my everyday life is influenced. For example, when i choose my phone numbers, I choose numbers that are seen as lucky, and I avoid the number 4.

  2. In Thailand, most people believe that number 9 is a lucky number because the word "9" in Thai means moving on. They thing this number will lead them to success. Number 13 might be the unlucky one since if you rotate "13" it will look like the word ghost in Thai.

    The effect of unlucky number can be clearly seen in the floor number or room number that usually missing from the list. For the lucky number, it is usually the most expensive number of many things, such as phone number or car number.

  3. As far as I know, in Thai culture, people think that number 3 or 7 are unlucky. On the contrary, the lucky ones are 5 or 9 based on Thai astrology. Yet, the lucky number are also varied depending on the date of birth.

    Although there is no evidence to show if numbers can influence our lives, Most of Thai people still believe in that in different degrees to hope that someday their lives will be better in terms of love, work, money, health ans more.

    2. I know well about the power of number 3. Almost everything in our lives seem related to 3 things, pieces, aspects, points and the like. This magic number is ubiquitously applied. I agree with this.

      Yet, 3 is also considered as a bad number for Thai astrology. I am not sure why. It's just superstitious beliefs. Anyway, it can be lucky or unlucky number depending on what you think. Or else, It is nothing if you do not think that numbers influence our lives.

    3. As far as I know number 3 represent of Mars which is concerning of competition and war. Most Thai fortune teller would say the persons who were born under the sign of Mars will be only suitable to work in the military. However, Mars is the good match with Venus or number 6. Surprisingly, if you add 3 to 6, it becomes 9.

  4. Among Thai people, they mostly think that 9 is a lucky number because its sound is similar to the word "prosperity". In contrast, it is believed that 13 is the most unlucky one since its appearance looks like the word "ghost" in Thai. However, each local community and family might have different sets of lucky and unlucky numbers.

    I have been influenced by my parents very much that 6 and 9 are our family's lucky numbers. Every time we have to have something related to numbers, we need to have these lucky number.

  5. Most Thais believe that number 9 is the most luckiest number. It brings luck and prosperity. Luckily, I was born number 9 in the family.

    For some people who get a good number,they feel more encouraged and confident.

  6. I don't know much about lucky numbers, but I know that unlucky number is 13. It is something about ghost, and most of the elevators I have seen is not contained the 13th floor in their button. Mostly,i think it skips from 12th floor to 14th floor.

  7. In my culture many people like to think that nine is lucky number because the pronunciation of nine in English language is the same pronunciation as the word "pace or progress" in Thai language.

    I think number is very impact on many people's life because people will be more relief and be able to do many thing in their daily life.

  8. In Thailand, The 9 number are believed to bring the good luck. I don't know exactly why the think that. I've heard may be the reason is from the sound of that word is similar to the word progress. The unlucky number is 4 in Chinese culture because its sound is as same as the word dead.

    A belief is play a crucial role in everyday life of Thai people. For example, the lucky car license number has been auctioned in the incredible price.

  10. In China, most people like number 6,8 and 9 because their pronunciation sounds like auspicious and favorable words in Chinese.6 means smooth, 8 means fortune, 9 implys permanent.4 has the same pronunciation with death, so it is an unlucky number.
    When people choose phone numbers, floor numbers of condominium, or some other things related to numbers, they prefer lucky numbers.
