New house

I so glad to see new house peteraep.blogspot.com. First time I saw, it was nothing difference. But, next time I found there were a little bit different.
I really like new comment text field. it's more convenient to post comments and easier to understand for new users.

second, mini email icon, we can send email easily. And... I found only 2 new features.

If someone found more, tell me please!!!

  1. After the different location, the most obvious difference are the two that Mark has already noticed and reported.

The others are more subtle: just small changes in the layout, which I hope will make it clearer and easier to see what's there, and perhaps a little more attractive. The columns are wider, and I've moved the text in the sidebar a little more to the right. I've also changed the background image and its source in the header, but that doesn't look any different.

    Feedback is welcome.

  2. And another unseen change is the way I get email alerts when someone posts or comments.

  4. Ar! Thank you for telling me another features. (I already use email subscribe, new feature. I like it!) I have just found your another blog since LV1 to LV15. It has own color, and your language style has changed. I may visit there to say hello!

    Edit:
It can't edit my mistaken comment. I have deleted the previous comment and posted it again.

  5. Actually, i know that peter teach not only at aep program, but he also teach at regular course. However, I don’t know that peter has blog for regular’s student. If you don’t mind, can you tell me “how to join that blog” because I think it’s helpful in vacation time.

  6. It's nothing spacial. You already have Google account, you can comment on any blog, but you cannot create new post there until Peter invite you.

I think, you should not create any post except here, though Peter invited you another blog, because it would become messy and difficult to organize.

  7. Sorry Krich, but Mark is right. You can only post on Blogs you are a member of, and you have to be in my class to be invited.
In fact, you also have to be a member of the blog to leave a comment: having a Google account isn't enough.

As Mark notes, "it would become messy and difficult to organize," if anyone could post or comment on any blog. Also, if the people posting know each other as a class, they are likely to feel more comfortable posting and getting comments from people they know. Another strong reason that made me decide to limit membership is that I think it's a good idea for the posts to be at about the same level, which is the reason for the radical changes in my own writing style when I post or comment on the different blogs as Mark also mentions in his comment on December 20.

I have another idea, still only half-formed, for something like an online version of the Students' Writing Board, which would be open to anyone, but that needs more thought before trying out.

In the meantime, you are welcome to continue posting here! I won't mind, and your former classmates, who we hope will still be at AUA next term, might also enjoy reading about what has interested you enough to post on.

Before you click the blue "Publish" button for your first comment on a post, check ✔ the "Notify me" box. You want to know when your classmates contribute to a discussion you have joined.

A thoughtful response should normally mean writing for five to ten minutes. After you state your main idea, some details, explanation, examples or other follow up will help your readers.

Note: only a member of this blog may post a comment.
