Taliban continue attacks on three major cities(2021)
In Afghanistan, the battle between Taliban and Government is on the tension, while Government can recapture the area around the airport with the army force combined with USA military support and the releasing of heavy air strikes, some of city can be retain, but there’s the dangerous sign will occur on the government side, firstly is Kandahar that is very risky to fall into the terrorist hands with many citizen that mainly trapped in there “ Thousands have been displaced in Kandahar, amid fighting between the army and the Taliban” .Next is Herat city that surrounded by the area of Taliban forces and the tense of war is very thick.”There’re report of fighting in at least five locations”, but there’s the good news that the attack of Taliban in the south has been delayed according to the successful of government that can defense the strategic centre. “Insurgents were reportedly only a few hundreds meters away from the governor’s office”
Also with American military force start to retreat their soldier after facing many battle against Taliban army. Since NATO has announced the declaration of war with the Taliban terrorists on 2001, now the Afghanistan government has to face it themselves without supporting from USA “Donald Trump and allies agree to formulate the deal with Taliban on withdrawal of international combat force” in this time, there’s still support from the USA that some soldiers will remain at the line of fire, but USA will shortly on the full withdrawal of army “President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal will take place on September”.

Hi Phum, thank you for the interesting news article. It reminded me of September 11 Attack in the United States. That was 12 years ago. At that time we, our world, really focused on 'terrorist', and I think it is still mystery to me. I do not understand the motivations that drive terrorists to revenge and satisfy their life. As I heard from some people, it is about religious and believes--Muslim countries and the United States. Some people said that the United State involved in the war because it wanted fossil fuel from those Muslim countries. I used to study Political Science at university and I learned that countries seek to exercise their powers in order to manage relationships with the other countries. I used to wonder about such international policy, because it can create tensions and we cannot reach the concept on peacefulness. However, that was 12 years ago. Nowadays, our world has been promoting a new concept 'sustainability'. The world's theme has changed a lot.
