My academic interest is Western Political Thoughts. I think if we want to know how human's social comes, we can learn it from history, and History of thoughts could tell us how and what people thought and how it effect to human's life.
History of Chinese Characters also my interest.

Actually, I never interested in political and history. I do interested in history sometimes, but normally I don't. Although reading the newspaper about politic make me know what is happening in the society today, it cannot attract my attention. That's made me out of date on any politic in around the world.
ReplyDeleteDepends on our country's political situations today, It's fine if we arn't interested in politics, But I think you can try reading some history, there are many kinds of history, it may interested you if you choose the right one.
ReplyDeleteWestern political thought is definitely one of my interests, although my approach is mainly philosophical - via theories of justice, or the moral basis for state power, of what democracy is, and so on.
ReplyDeleteHave you read any Plato? He had a lot to say about political systems, and he didn't really like democracy, perhaps because the Athenian democrats killed his teacher, Socrates.
Sometimes we read a dialogue by Plato in class, but usually not in level 5 (I like to save him for level 6 or 7). However, if students are interested, we can do some Plato. What do people think?
