Naam in two + one

A favourite

There are many entertainments in the world today, such as video games, virtual games, music, fun park, but my favourite entertainment is the movie. I am not a gamer or music lover. Some play games all day which I can not do that, and some reading books. All I love to do to entertain myself is watching a movie. My dad loves to watch movies so he took me, my brother, and my sister watched the film together at the cinema when we were young. Watching movies was my favourite activity but it spent a lot of money so when I was a kid I didn't have a chance to watch it so often only when I hang out with my dad and my brother. I didn't see my brother very often since we lived in a different place, we would meet once in a while and dad always brings us to the cinema, so cinemas become a special place for our family, we went there only for a special occasion. When I grew up, my sister and my brother haven't had a chance to watch movies together anymore because all of us are live separately in different places so watching movies together with my siblings becomes my memorable time in life. Now I work in the film industry as a film producer so making a film and keep watching movies are part of my job now; I like to watch movies from different countries, it brings me new experiences and movies also expand my knowledge too.

A second favourite

Grilled pork is my favourite food. I love a buffet such as a Korean buffet with lots of friends. Having a buffet with a big group is a kind of fun activity; it made me feel more appetizing. One time I was starving and I wanted to eat a buffet, but nobody free to join me a meal then I decided to have a buffet alone by myself; it was not fun when we had a buffet alone but at least it was fulfilled my stomach. Streaky pork is my favourite part, I love to mix it with salt before doing the grill and cooking it a little bit crispy then eat it together with raw garlic and a slice of vegetable; eating it this way made a slice of streaky pork tastier. I have a Korean grilled pan at home, I asked my Korean friend to buy it for me a few years ago. Since we are in lockdown so I quite often cook grilled pork at home and having it with my family.

Not a favourite

Thai Government is run by my non-favourite party right now and I don't know how long they will rule the parliament. During this tough time: Covid-19, they had made wrong decisions such as allowing to have a boxing competition at the stadium although the health ministry had announced it is a dangerous activity and they should cancel the game or still let tourists come to the country without setting a quarantine system to manage them in a proper place and care. There are lots of people suicide because they can not manage their stress from their economic problems after the virus hit the town. The government can not cope with the problem quickly enough to control the situation and solve the problems. I heard the news from a different source about spending money to buy battlefield vehicles during the crisis is so unbelievable thing to do.

Conclusion

My favourite things are something that I can control and manage myself to have it whenever I want to, only my non-favourite government that I can't control, and this issue quite upset and disturb me so often during this time but I can't fix it. I wish we will have an election happens again soon, so I could make my move and choose the right thing for my country freely again.

  1. Although all three of Naam's chosen topics are interesting, her third one, the current Thai government, was especially interesting, and perhaps a little controversial. But controversial is good. If we have strong and possibly different opinions about something, there is a lot to say as we try to understand opposing siders and help them to understand why we hold a particular opinion. And Naam has presented solid supporting reasons for her general opinion about the chosen topic in section three of her blog post, which like the first two sections, helps us to get to know her better.

I'm looking forward to your replies.

    1. 104 words is about the right number for comment responding to a blog post. Although this is relaxed response writing, we still want to write at least one paragraph to state our ideas about the topic so that readers have a clear idea of what we think with some explanation, examples, reasons or other useful detail.

  4. I totally agree with all of Num's perspective about Thai government’s working process.
However, there is a few advantages that currently, he provides the curfew law for preventing the Covid-19 and he also be strict about waring face mask. If he had not been serious about waring face mask and had been limit the times to go out, the amount of Thai populations would have infected from Covid-19 more like Italians or Americans right now. To conclude, there are just a few advantages when compared with disadvantages as Num provided above.

  5. I agree with Num, Thai government is bad. I was shocked when I herd that our country had to stick with the same government. They didn’t do anything. I don't even understand why our president can't speaks English. Our country leader can't improve the country, we don't even had a chance to pick the leader that we want during the election. They should give us more freedom right now. I think we are lucky during this Covid 19 crisis because we have a very small number of people that have Covid 19. But they act like we have more thank 10,000 people having Covid right now. I hope the social distancing will be over soon and I wish I could pick the government.
