George killed Lennie :right or wrong?

From Of Mice and Men we know that at late George kill Lennie. Is this right? In my opinion I think George don't want to kill him. But he has to do that, because he knows that Lennie did the wrong thing that he can't help him this time. He don't want Lennie dead but he know that if other people kill him may be they will by another way to do that. Lennie will bagged. So he tells their dream again to Lennie then kill him. He make Lennie dead with no so much pain. I think he is right.

  1. I think he is wrong because he doesn't have to kill Lennie. He can do another way. For example, he can let him go away. However,if he lets him go away, Lennie may be kill another person because he cannot control his power and he doesn't know what he should do. I think it's better if he escapes with him and brings him to a hospital to cure or something like that. He should make him aware of his power. If he hasn't money to cure Lennie, I think he can find someone or organization which can help him.

  2. I wonder how Alina will respond to Ann's suggestion that George get Lennie to a hospital that can help him.

Any ideas from the people who agree with Alina that George was right to kill Lennie?
