Do you know someone with an addiction? What step?

I know someone with an addiction who is at step 6. He was efficient and sometime drank alcohol with his co-works after work. But he began to drink a lot and couldn’t stop and couldn’t go to work. He always forced his family to bring some alcohol, even hit them if they refuse to bring. It lasted few months; finally, he began to suffer form hallucination. According to him, he always stayed with his older brother who was death and his brother wanted to take him somewhere, so his family called a shaman to perform an exorcism, because they believed that the shaman would take his older brother away. Of cause, it didn’t work and he was carried and pronounced severe inflammation of the liver. For being treated it, he was hospitalized and isolated form alcohols. Now he recovered provisionally, he never drinks even small because he is afraid of relapses.
