Yun's academic interests

There are several academic subjects that I interest, which are Language, Code, and design.
Language, such as English and Chinese are very interesting while technology, such as
coding and programmings are necessary. Furthermore, I used to be Architect student so
I interest design too.

Language isn't easy for everyone. English has a lots of vocabulary as well as
Chinese to remember. However learning English or Chinese as a second
language has many benefits. Firstly, learning new language helps people to
memorize. People who learn new language memorize things better than who
don't. Secondly, people who learn new language are always enthusiasm.
People always active when they find new words that they don't know.

  2. I absolutely agree with you about learning language. I love learning new language too. It always make me feel fresh like a baby who has just learnt how to speak.

I want to share some of my experience about learning languages. I used to study Chinese. At the beginning, I felt so excited. Chinese vocabularies and its grammar are very interesting. The grammar is not that hard, but how to write chinese alphabets was getting harder and harder for me. Compare to Spanish, the new language that I've just begun learning this year, I think Spanish grammars are 100 times harder than the chinese one. (Noted that it is just in my point of view) Unfortunately, I was too busy, so I had gave up my chinese class. But i am still enjoy learning new things, not only languages, I love the feeling when i discover something new.

  3. I've already commented on the complexity of English in my reply to Fahsai above, but Yun's post reminds me that English vocabulary, and such things as collocations, is complex because of the mix of languages that make up English. The original English and Germanic roots don't have much in common with the extensive imports from Latin and French, and many other languages, but they are all mixed up together, along with the different grammar structures, to make English, and like other living languages, English continually evolves new words and grammatical forms. It makes it a wonderfully sophisticated language, but also a confusing one to learn. I'm glad I learned it as my native tongue without having to study it, at least not until I got to school.

But learning Thai was very hard for me, and I suspect for similar reasons: the original Thai has large imports from Khmer, Pali and Sanskrit, which probably didn't have that much in common until they were all mixed together to make modern Thai, which also continues to evolve in the hands of its users.
