Motolora is being sued by Microsoft because Microsoft alleging that Motolora infringed nine patents by using android operation system in their mobiles. Microsoft say android system is base on Microsoft technology. Finally, the court found 2 devices which're infringed but Microsoft say there are more.
In my perspective, honestly I don't use Motolora but I heard a lot of advantage of Andriod system. However, if Motorola wrong they deserve to paid for what have they done.
I also have a question that why the writer put "Microsoft said Motorola licensed some of its mobile technology from 2003 to 2007 but continued to use the technology without renewing the license." in the article? just for show that Motorola is not renewing the license or it has somthing important for this?

The important advantage of Andriod system is to synchronize with the Google’s action which is still developing to get more advantages than Apple.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, it is reasonable why Motorola does not renew the license. Because android system never reach the perfect goal and are deem to infringe on customers.
I am amazed on how many legal actions have been in the last years. I guess it's because the competition between brands in a business so profitable and which run so fast. 10 years ago I did't use to use a mobil phone, but the evolution has beaten hard, and now the whole world is in a small machine in your pocket.
ReplyDeleteRespect your question, I would say that the writer just gives some more information about the legal action between these two brands. Motorola paid for the license for a few years and then stopped paying but kept using the system. I guess it's an important point that makes Microsoft more innocent. But we already now that Motorola was declared guilty, so I don't thing the writer is giving his opinion. Just information. Is it what you are asking for? I hope it helps you.
Pd: maybe there is a problem with the link of the source of the news in "References". It drives me to your last post about Apple.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you but I'm not so sure is it just information which the writer want to put or are there any reason?
Ps. sorry for references. I'm going to change it now.
Don't worry for the link. I just wanted to let you know.
ReplyDeleteRespect your question, I would like to know what you do think about. Which is your doubt? Do you suspect any hided reason?
Net,
ReplyDeleteThanks for this article.
Oh, I feel many things about technologies that I don't know. So, May I ask you a question?
What is Andriod?

ReplyDeleteI just curious that Why motolora should has new licenses? and with who?
Probably, just only me that not clear about the article ??
Thank for sharing. I'll try to answer as much as I know. I have read the news like your news for days, and I don't know that they are related with each other whether or not. If the answer is Yes, the things you suspect concern with some programs developed and owned by Microsoft, but They appear on Android OS. Also, Microsoft sign them as intellectual property. So, whoever uses that may be sued by Microsoft.
ReplyDeleteAfter I read, I rather wonder something. If the Micosoft sues Motolora, why they don't sue the others, Nokia, HTC, Apple, etc. because all of them also use those program on their product.
For example of the program are Automatical battery alert.
- Why motolora should has new licenses? and with who?
I think that it concerns the old product of Motolora. They might make contraction with Microsoft for their old model.
Thank you for your information. P'A
ReplyDeletePersonally, the reasons that why Microsoft only sues Motorola are few reasons. Firstly, Microsoft and Nokia cooperate to struggle in the mobile software (O’BRIEN,2010). Lastly, in the bottom of this article say Microsoft's already sues Apple last year.

Apple
ReplyDeleteAndroid is a operating system which make applications run in the mobile.
Thank you net, so it is like DTAC, GSM, True and Hutch, right?
ReplyDeleteNo, Apple it is not like. Dtac GSM ETC. are the operator connection whinch you have to pay fee every month but Androi is an operating system. It is like you have mini Micrisoft Window on your mobile. Is it sound good? So you can type you document search the internet or see the map even you use GSM DTAC or TRUE MOVE.
ReplyDeleteI fact I use it on my father's new HTC. I think it look like I phone + Sumsong. It might make for adults who hate I phone.
Thank you so far Poom for your explanation.
ReplyDeleteThank you Poom.
ReplyDeleteIf I remember right, Android is a free open source which is developed by Google, and it’s based on Linux which is also a free open computer software. Also Android wasn’t there yet 2003-7. After Motorola starting to use Android, they might think they don’t infringe on Microsoft’s patents because it’s a free open source. I heard Microsoft is planning to launch its new operation system to defeat two big shares for smart phone; Apple’s iphone and Google’s Android. To catch up and compete with them, Microsoft seems to be struggling.
