Bee's academic interests

Even though I studied in Math-Sci program, I love English. English is the language that most of people in the world are studying, so I think it's the good opportunity to study English. Moreover, English helps me to watch videos on youtube and read some foreign website easily.

Apart from English, I also love mathematics. Math, the foundation of everything, should be learned by everyone in the world. Because, in my opinion, it's the language that the world speaks, and if I don't speak it, so it can be really tough for me to survive in this world.

Due to my interest in business and finance, I love reading business and some business-psychology books. For example, I read the intelligent investor, one up on wall street, and other books.

  1. As I was reading everyone's blog post on their interests, it surprised me how many people mention mathematics, and I was one of them. Your reason is a bit different to the one I give in my post below, but I also agree about the fundamental nature of mathematics: whatever other science you study, or even languages these days, mathematics is a powerful tool for analysis to help us understand what is going on.

  2. I'm guessing that you also speak Chinese reasonably well. Is that right? After I graduated, I spent a year in Taipei, where I learned some Chinese, but that was a long time ago, and I can't speak it all now. Do you also read in Chinese? I can't read them in Chinese these days, but there is a lot of great literature, history and philosophy in Chinese that I used to enjoy reading. Perhaps i should get back into that, but like everything, it takes time!

    1. No, I cannot write, speak, read, and listen to Chinese well. I just recently learned this language by myself. And I found that quite really hard to me. Nevertheless, I will keep practicing it.

  3. I couldn't agree more with the two of you about the math. English is the key to many doors of opportunities and I believe we all realize this well :)

  4. Mathematics in history has helped people and invent many things and I also do think it is an important part where one must learn and without those people we won't have things today but it is not a topic that fancies me but I got your point and I don't disagree with you. It's just that I can't cope with mathematics.

  5. I also study in Math-Sci as well when I was studying in high school. But, I am not good at Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and so on. I became a designer instead. You remind me to think about Da Vinci that mathematics is related in everything. In my design filed, it calls proportion. “Good design, Good proportion” It is Math!

  6. Why everyone like Maths?? It is the least favourite subject of mine!!! Hahaa However, English is also my favourite subject when I was in school. I always think that I’m good at English but after long time not using it frequently, I started to feel that my English skill are weaker.
