Kan's academic interests

I studied in Computer Engineering. So, my main academic interests are most about Information Technology.  I love to catch up with IT news and learn about the technology. It helps to improve my work as well.

Also I am keen about Philosophy. I find the idea and philosophy theories are very fascinated and can explain a lot about life.

History is also an interesting topic for me. It explains whatever happens in the present.

  1. Thank you Kan. I've just responded to Boom's interest in philosophy in my comment on his post above, so I won't repeat myself here.

I also studied computer science at university, but it wasn't my best subject. Way back then, the computer was housed in its own building, and we have to write our programs on punch cards for input. A single mistake was fatal, and I wasn't a very good typist.

But as you might have guessed, I'm still very keen on modern IT and the options it gives us, which is why I like to use it in my classes. Paper had a great run for a few centuries, but these days, writing in digital formats is much more useful, which is why TOEFL is normally done online now, and IELTS has also started moving to an online testing format. And tomorrow we will try out a couple more tools that use computers and the internet for our class.

  2. I also interested in technology,Nowadays technology plays a big role in our daily life.
You can type a document even when you only carry a phone because Microsoft developed a Microsoft offices for Android and IOS devices or you have Google that developed Google Doc and Drive to let you type a document anywhere because of cloud save.
I remembered when I was study in grade 11. In computer subject,Teacher uses Google Classroom to give a work in class and let students submit their work through it.
It's convenient but there's a problem in the early of the term but when we learned and get the idea of it. It's pretty simple

    1. I agree with Ins that the first time we use a new tool, it can be confusing, but as he also says, once you've used it a few times, it will be pretty simple. You did very well today learning the tools we will be using regularly in our class, and the reason I asked you to do a bit of light homework was to help familiarise you with these new tools.
The first time I tried these tools, I also found them difficult, and I made lots of mistakes as I learned them.

  3. For me, I have many friends who studied engineering. Some of them graduated from King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. But, I cannot think of my engineering friends who interested in philosophy and history. You surprise me! Because, I think that the file of engineering requires a lot of logical thinking such as Mathematics and Science. On the other hand, Philosophy and History require critical thinking and understanding abstract ideas. So, I believe that your academic interests will make you to be an outstanding computer engineer.

I also love thinking and reading philosophy to understand about life as well. I think it is a very discussing and interesting topic. I love to learn from others about how they live their lives.

I found myself slept with every History book. It is boring sometimes because the way this kind of book wrote. But, I interested in History and I watch documentary films instead of reading it. It is true that understanding history is a great tool to explain present and interpret future.

  4. Computer Science is in my opinion the very good major to learn nowadays. IT is one of my favorite thing. When I was 14 years old, I like to look at the phone news because I want to buy a new one.
I haven't know much about philosophy. However, I saw many people in this class think that it's good thing to learn.
I like Greek mythology because of the game called God of War. What king of history do you like?
