Crystal's academic interests
Architecture is my academic interest among all kinds of subjects. Firstly,it helps me to come true my dream which was to leave my track after death on the earth, ancient buildings still stand the same place as evidences for existence of historical figures including architects.Secondly, architectures are fruits of intelligence of human being more than a space to keep people from rain and sun, because they reflect people's religions, belief and understanding to beauty. Some famous historical buildings frequently needed several generations'effort and hard work to finish and became symbols of a city, for example,Notre Dame de Paris in Paris of France.Architects and laborers left their souls in their works so that these magic buildings can survive throughout several centuries without collapse.Lastly, studing architecture is interesting because students will be asked to learn photography and art which are more attractive and vivid than other subjects. In a word,I love architecture and I will recommend this major for the students who are going to study in a university.

Crystal,
ReplyDeleteI agree. The great buildings from the past still stand as impressive and inspiring symbols of what human beings can achieve, even if the beliefs that inspired them were false and not very nice.
I thought that the sweat and pain of the labourers is what's forever in the stones of Notre Dame more than their souls. But I don't know. They were probably better off than the slaves forced to work on the pyramids and some other ancient architectural marvels.
