Toon's favoeite acedemic subject

I alwalys love subjects relating to human and pyscology. I find out in the university that my favorite acedemic subject is organization behaviur or any subjects in sort of this field. What I enjoy with it is the knowledge reveal how people hahave, what are their intention behind that and what liely they are going to do next, according to the pschological theory. I proved myself passion I have toward the course that I receive an A.

The subject predominently employs several knowledge in the domain of psychology

  1. have you read any of Dan Ariely's work? He's a behavioural economist at the University of Chicago who has published some fascinating work on how humans act, and what motivates our actions.

    2. Sometimes we read Ariely in class. Maybe this term we will read one of his essays. Tan read one last term, which she can tell you about, but he has written a lot to choose from.

Another economist who has written some great, which I again sometimes use in class, is Steven Levitt. His best known book is probably Freakonomics. Do you know it?

  2. In my comment a minute ago on Na's post I was speculating about some possible reading materials we might use this term. I think your interests fit both the short novel I have in mind and the economics essay.
I'm now thinking we'll start with the novel and do an economics essay if we have time. The essay I have in mind isn't psychology like Ariely's work, but it is about how people behave and the often surprising consequences for societies that can follow from that.

the novel I have in mind fits very well with our readings in Quest on the topic of psychology, which we will get into tomorrow morning now that you and your classmates have worked so hard covering a few basics that we wanted to clarify first.

I am afraid that getting into Hartmann's readings in Quest might add a little (not the main part) to your homework for the weekend. Not to worry - our passion for the subjects will carry us through.

    1. So far I enjoy with the materials I have learned from the beginning. Whether from Quest or extra readings they are quite educational and practical so whatever you think fitting us well please put it forward. It is still a good idea to let myself experience various kinds of readings; it gets me familiar with broader area of vocabulary and English structures.

    1. Although I can permanently remove the record of deleted comments, I generally don't. When I notice minor mistakes, usually from typing, I don't worry about them. I assume that you, my readers, can handle the odd typing error that I make.

When I notice a more serious mistake, usually because I change my mind half way through a sentence, but forget to change the first half to fit the new second half, I either let it go (if I'm sure the meaning is still clear enough), or add a new reply to explain what I really meant to say, but didn't.

  4. I am interested in psychology as well. as we all know, many Thai people believe in superstitions. Often we think that unusual phenomena that occur to us—usually we cannot explain why they happen—involve some kinds of spirits. However, there are some psychological reasons that can explain some of those phenomena. I have read chapter 5 in Quest 2 yesterday about people’s dreams. Even then there are psychological reasons for different dreams.
