Vitamin supplements may cut benefits of exercise

It can have been said that free radical can cause the ageing action for a long time. That’s why people intake of antioxidant vitamin. On the other hand, there are other researches that the antioxidants might make death happen faster. What can happen is that the beneficial effects of exercise are hindered.
What exercise makes an effect on insulin resistance is well recognized. “However, when Ristow's team measured the effects of exercise on insulin sensitivity, they found no increase in those volunteers taking antioxidants, but a significant increase in those who didn't take the supplements.” (¶ 5) Ristow also says "antioxidants are preventing the health effects of exercise". (¶ 7) He also says that it is impossible to use of taking antioxidants in place of having fruit and vegetable.
I am interested in this article because I take tablets of vitamin C in order to achieve whitening every day. Therefore, I am confused about new research. It is possible to get demerit at somewher else I don't know. Every time the new study is reported, I wonder which information I should believe. I think there are both advantages and disadvantages, but what important is different for different people. So, I have to acquire knowledge both merits and demerits, not to bother.

  2. I don't usually take vitamin. I think the vitamin supplement is not really good for health. If you can get the vitamin from natural food that is much better. I'm not sure about this research, but anyway it was occurred so we need to care about this.

  3. I think vitamins or any supplements are unimportant because it’s not a medicine. But it’s important for someone who has health problems. Some vitamins and supplements make our body work so hard. You should take healthy and enough nutrition, sleep well and exercise. So you will have a good wellness.

  4. I was a little surprised when I read the report. I already knew that some vitamins are dangerous when taken in unnaturally high doses, but it appears the danger is greater than I had realised.

Does vitamin C really whiten? I've never heard that before. Is there any evidence for it?

I agree with An and Nick. I almost never take extra vitamins or minerals; I just try to eat a well balanced diet.

  7. I heard that some combinations of supplements also could get the health worse. I think just taking one or two tablets simply would be ok. However, because of supplements trends, some people too rely on those tablets in order to keep themselves healthy. We can say that is absolutely wrong. Thus, I think this article is good for us because we can recoginize that supplements is not perfect for our health.
