My academic interest is English. At first, I really hated this language and I didn't want to study it in school. English's exam was my nightmare, I couldn't understand those strange words. In English class at middle school, I had to let my friend read and translate short paragraph for me. One day, I saw one of my friend read a thick English novel and I wanted to be good in English like her in order to read many famous English novels.
After that, I tried to make my own plan for self-studying English. I started from reading short, easy English stories and watching movies for kids with subtitle. Finally English gradually became my fevorite subject.

Me too, I love English and I want to study to study it by myself but not by reading English novel. I prefer watching movie.
ReplyDeleteI think you should try to read English novel since many English books are very interesting. I believe that if you try some, you will definitely love them!
DeleteI totally agree with you, In. English is not easy for Thai people, even though we've been studying since we were children (Well, i mean every Thai student has been studying English at least for 12 years!). We always have a hard time put things in more general term. Although we're forced to study a lot of grammar rules!
ReplyDeleteStay strong In!!
Thank you ^_^
DeleteYour self study plan is awesome and Thank you for your examples. I think I should try some of these to improve my poor English as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI think reading short, easy stories and watching movies are some of the best way to practice English because you can learn and also be entertained at the same time.
