In pride and Prejudice(Austen, J., 2004), Charlotte is an intimat friend of Elizabeth. She is a daughter of Lady Lucas and Sir William. She is a sensible, and intelligent young lady, however she is little bit old to marry, actually, she is 27 years old and that age is considered too old to marry at her times. I think her cahracter is very realistic and responsible, because she accepted Mr. Collins' propose. Mr. Collins propese to Elizabeth at first, but after soon being rejected by Elizabeth, he chose Charlotte as his wife. Charlotte worried about her friend's criticism, when she accepted Mr. Collins' propose, however, she knew very well about her reality. and she thought about her family, too. In truth, I don't liker her decision, even though I understand her decision. She wants to stay the stable present, rather than searches for her dream. Most women at her times might make a decision like that. however, she is a young woman, and I think young mem have to seek for their dream regardless of the difficulty of making come true. That was the previllege of youth.
