What I read
In a joking tone, the author of the BBC News article "BDE: What is big dick energy and who really has it?" (2018) says that the term big dick energy (BDE), which isn't actually about male anatomy, began with @imbobswaget on Twitter, but rapidly spread to become a social media meme following a subsequently deleted tweet by Ariana Grande about the male anatomy of Pete Davidson, to whom she recently became engaged. Among other definitions given, the article cites one as saying that BDE is "a healthy, low-key way you feel yourself," and that a great example of BDE is all the women stars of Oceans 8.

My response
First, a couple of confessions. I haven't seen Ocean's 8, and although I've seen the name in the entertainment section of the BBC, I don't really know who Ariana Grande is. I've never heard of her beloved, Pete Davidson. Consequently, much of the context of this news story is unknown to me. But it was fun to read. Who, after all, could resist a title like "BDE: What is big dick energy and who really has it?" I couldn't, and didn't. And having read it, it was too silly not to blog. I probably will see Ocean's 8, but I can wait for it to appear on NetFlix in a year or two, or even three.
The story also includes a number of screen shots of Twitter posts that refer to other celebrities I don't know. This is probably a sign of my age. I use Facebook because it's a great tool for keeping in touch with family and friends, especially the FB messenger, which I prefer to Line, but I have exactly 30 friends at the moment, and its never gone over 33 — if someone friends me when we first meet, I accept it, but if the relationship doesn't last, I unfriend them.
Oh, and I enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek writing in the article. It was fun. I couldn't say whether I have BDE or not, but I suspect it would be unBDE to say you you did have it.

My question
What is the weirdest thing you've seen on social media recently?
