  • What are some of your own genetic traits that you feel come from your mother's side of the family? What about your fathers?

  2. When we first think of genetic traits that are inherited from parents, I think most people would first think of physical things such as height, hair colour and so on. In my own case, I'm sure I started to go bald while I was still in high school because of genes from my father's side of the family. And I'm hoping I've inherited the genes from both sides that should see me living in good health until at least 80 years of age.

But I think the more interesting aspect of genetic inheritance is personality and intelligence. Large scale studies show that intelligence is inherited, so if you want your kids to do well at school, the most important thing is to be intelligent yourself and marry someone else who is highly intelligent. Growing up on a farm, I also realised early on that personality is inherited: friendly dogs had friendly puppies, and angry dogs had angry puppies. I think the same is true for humans, including myself. Most of my brothers and sisters and I are a bit shy, and I think that comes from both my father and mother.

  3. From my mother's side, I got my voice that sound a little bit manly, my sister too. I am sometimes impulsive like my mother like when we are in rushing situations. From my father, I got the height what higher and the average. I like to fix things in my house like my father. Little things like light bulb change, water pipe fixing or door lock change.

  4. Well, I think in terms of physical trait I don't look like both of them. Many people agreed that I am the only child in my family who didn't look familiar with my mother or my father. I also think so because I'm the only one who looks more Thai than others who look more like Chinese. However, I believe that my personality is quite similar to my father. He is determined, straightforward and sincere like me. We have common in working hard but keeping the low profile and down to earth.

  6. For me, I think my height come from my father because my father is taller than my mother and I also taller than her. For appearance, I think it mostly came from my mother because many of my relatives said that my face looks similar to my mother.

I am not sure that personality is genetic but my personality is similar to my father, he is easy going, quiet and also friendly.

  7. I think I received a few genetics traits from my parent. I got height from my father. Most people told me that my face looks really similar to my mother. I have different eye size. My right eye is slightly bigger than my left eye size which I completely not sure how I got this. It is because both of my parent have equal eye size.
