That's a good idea that preparing yourself for your future goal are career. I kind of envy you about that you know what you are going to be after graduating. For me, I am not interested in marketing or some kind of Math at all. It's too hard for me to understand.
ReplyDeletethank you. It's good to hear about that. I thought you might found one of you interesting already.
ReplyDeletetalk about "envy", I envy that's you live near SAM YAN. 555+
Hi N'Pop, your interests, Marketing, has changed your previous major as Mechanical Engineering. In this case, I can't believe that you won't continue studying the previous major, but you have been interested in marketing. Actually, the latest is very different from the former. Keep positive thinking.
ReplyDeleteI learn a lot from studying mechanical engineer and i think i can work in this field. mechanical major has a wide range of knowledge and i saw many application using knowledge in this field. however, i still want to try to learn in other field.
DeleteThose academic interests that you are interested in, are the last thing I want to know about. I honestly say that I don't like everything about business,it sounds boring whereas they are the best one to learn if you have your own company.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the best way to learn bussiness is doing some bussiness. when we want to learn how to ride a bicycle, he have to ride it.
DeleteJust as the best way to learn to read and write well is to read and write a lot.
DeleteIt is great that you are fond of marketing. This subject provides strategies to speed up processes of products distribution by stimulating people to buy more and more products from markets. However, I was born to be in academic fields of science so I am not skillful in a kind of business area. Then it would be very kind of you if you give advices to me when I have to do something relating to marketing.
ReplyDeleteActually, everyone is relating to marketing concept because they have to be whether consumer or seller. If case of consumer, reading about marketing help you to understand more about the movement of each company. If case of seller, believe it or not, everyone is seller. we sell our ability, skill, experience, attitude, etc.
DeleteGood point: doctors are selling themselves - their knowledge and skills; lawyers are selling themselves in the same way; as are teachers, and all the rest of us.
DeleteDoes this make us all sound a bit like prostitutes?
And now that I think of it, since they do are doing exactly what the lawyers, doctors and teachers do, can there be any good reason for criminalising prostitution? How can it be wrong to choose to provide a service demanded by consenting adult customers on a contractual basis agree to be both people involved?
What an interesting question Pop's comment has suggested.
Pop and Peter,
ReplyDeleteboth of you point out quite interesting issues for me and this makes me think of when I ask for my salary when I was interviewed for a job. Luckily, I got advises from my friend who has ever interviewed a number of job applicants about how to raise my price and also one helpful officer that frankly tell me that I underestimate my expected salary.
Peter,
when I was young, I always believed that prostitutes are quite bad people that we should get rid of them from our society. However, when I grow up, I develop quite different attitude towards this job. Prostitutes actually do honest jobs and also work so hard for their living. This kind of job is even better than politicians in a smart suit who are so greedy and cause our nation to become bankrupt from their corruptions.
Sadly, I think that the laws against prostitution, like the laws against drug use and other personal matters, are immoral. I wonder how popular these sort of irrational and unjust laws really are?
DeleteNo one here seems to disagree with myself and Yui, which is perhaps encouraging. maybe they are not so popular as I've been thinking them. So, why are they still in existence?
