Boss's academic interests
My academic interest is psychology. I graduated from the faculty of arts where I learnt about humanities. I've learnt about people's behavior so I think it would be nice to understand people's mind. I read some of the psychology articles. I use the knowledge every day at work. It is good to know how to deal with different kind of people. It helps you work easier. I enjoy giving advice to my friends by using psychology.

I do agree with you. Psychology is one of the most interesting field to study even though, in my point of view, it is quite difficult to understand since human is a very complicated living creature. Also, psychology is kind of an abstract thing as it can not be touched or seen. I once took a basic psychology course and ended up being very confused. I think learning how people think must be very difficult but still worth trying.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with both of you. My past job was to work, deal and talk with so many people. I found it hard and I failed, even so I think it is still important to learn and understand about what in a person's mind is. We cannot deny that any kinds of job, we have to know and deal with people anyway. I like to talk about this stuff as well. Please recommend me some books and we can discuss and share.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your viewpoint. Psychology is useful to understand other people's behavior. But I was thinking about if it always correct. I had a head teacher in my university. Her major was psychology and she used this skill in our teaching and life. It was a bit terrible. For example, If I had to absent her course, I called her and told her my reasons. Sometimes I couldn't answer quickly. So she said to me if I didn't answer fast, this showed that I was lying, but she was wrong. How about you and How do you use you psychology's skill in your work?
