Bixby and Scanlon's questions
Comment on the following questions, which are the critical thinking questions on page 82 (Bixby & Scanlon, 2013).
- Who is the most successful person you know? How did they achieve their success? (We actually started getting ideas on this question in our first writing exercise on Classroom last week. You can choose the same person to discuss, or someone different that you know.)
- Describe one idea you have had that you have never followed through on. What stopped you?

1. In my life, there is another person who is the most successful person I have ever met. My brother,Ratthanan, now he is studying Master's degree in Chulalongkorn University. He was perfectly success in Srinakarinvirot university last year and now he made my family proud of him by getting a part time job aboard in Japan.
ReplyDelete2. I have interested in drawing comics before, but I never go through that path because of my family stopping me. They said that I have talent on drawing but with that job as an illustrator I will not earn enough money for my daily life.
My senior student who studied at the same high school is the most successful person I know. He is a student in the university but he has the other duty as a math tutor. He has been a tutor since he was studied in a high school so now he has many students. He have to go to many schools for tutoring and teaching the students in the meeting room. Although he is 1 year older than me, now he has got million bath.
ReplyDeleteBanksy is the most street artist who want to argue and give the question for the religious, politic and culture. Everyone don,t know about his background profile because he have many secret in the art world but I like his idea. I think he have a brave to tell their hardcore opinion to the world.
ReplyDeleteThe first name that came up after I read the question is Bird Thongchai Mcintyre, a 60 years old Thai singer. He has been in the entertainment industry for more than 30 years. Other singers come and go. Bird Thongchai stays. Not only he is a very talented singer, he is also a very positive person. The only thing he wants to do is to make his fans happy. He does everything with happiness and positive mind.

The successful person I know is my colleague who is also my mentor for a period of time. He was about to leave the workplace he was in to one of the competitor company. However, as he worked closely to the CEO, the CEO did not allow my colleague to leave. Instead, he offer another position in different department in the company which is highly wanted position. He decided to accept the offer. This shows that he is a valuable human resource that the company cannot afford to be without him.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time that I think I would change job. I was about to leave but I changed my mind because my future benefit of staying I expected outweighed.
The most successful person I know is my grandmother. At her young age, she has struggled quite a lot. She was so poor that her family can’t afford her tuition fee so she finished school very early. She helped her family sailing things. However, after having been though lots of diffecult things, she finally having her own successful business and, importantly, a very great family.
ReplyDeleteSerena Willliams is an American professional tennis player who is the most successful person that I know. She doesn't have any coach, she has only her father who is her home-schooled official coach. She does not only have a tough time in her early life but she also have to past many deadly obstacles like serious surgery and lung embolism which can cause her to death. She is very confident in herself and trust that she can do everything.
ReplyDeleteI read a book, It's a Chinese book, it's a travel book, I like the author, I think she is a successful person, because she known that what important to her, she got a good job, and earn lots of money, but she think this life is not good, she like traveling, so she quit her job, and gap year. She find her really interesting thing is writing, so she writing and traveling, she became a writer, she's book is interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe most successful person I know is my aunt because she was attempting to study aboard when she has graduated from Chulalongkorn University and she got the full scholar to study political science in USA.
ReplyDeleteI want to have a positive thinking mind. I have watched the video on youtube that talks about how to think positively. But I don't practice my thinking to be like that because I just think that it is too hard to force my thinking.
The most successful person I know is Vladimir Putin, as we also know that he is Russian President. He started to study in law school in order to be intelligence officer and then he turned into the President of State.
ReplyDeleteI follow the footstep by going to the law school because I want to be a judge. Then, I cannot be a judge because of my laziness.
I am not sure that she would want me to say that she is the one who is successful but in my eyes she is. She is my senior, we know each other when we were in a University. I admire her because what she had done and been gone through were very tough. Now, she is getting to do what she is really like to do after passing many bad situation with not many support from her family. She accepted everything that had come into her life both positive and negative. She took all opportunities even though she did not know what it is about.

ReplyDeleteI have the another one person who have interesting his profile. His name is Jackson Paulock. His art style made to get the argue with the communist social. He is the good example to show about the person who want to tell about politic by his picture and he is a first artist in Abstrack art styly in the world.
