I interested in language. I like to read books and watch movies in English, it's make more fun than watching in Thai. I want to know where some of English words come from, what do they mean and why they have these definition.
I also like Korean language because I like to listen to K-POP music and watch Korean drama series.
I thing that each language have their own fascinating.

I like Joint's interest in the roots of English words. Unfortunately, that is one reason that ENglish is so difficult to learn — it's origins mix lots of different languages together, from old Germanic languages, Latin and Greek, and then French and lots more along the way. And like all living languages, English is constantly evolving. Even in my life time, it has changed a lot.
ReplyDeleteTwo-hundred-year-old English isn't too bad, but when I first read Shakespeare, that was very difficult, and I needed a lot of help with his 400-year-old "modern" English. Something as old as Chaucer is almost impossible to read: it's really a different language.
Sometime I listen to K-POP too. What's your favorite K-POP band?
ReplyDeleteI like Korean language too. Because Korean series are very funny. And you? Do you like it?
