A good service for children to avoid high cell phone bill

In the present, we can say that a mobile phone is one of our basic needs in our daily life. There are many temptations in cyber world causing us face rising mobile phone bill especially in children if they don’t know how to use it wisely. The article, Pupils in England and Wales to get 'download lessons’, in BBC News introduces us a good way to deal with it.

According to the new research from this article, one third of children from13 to 17-year-olds subscribe to special services which are not free of charge on mobile phones despite they don’t know what they cost. Industry watchdog PhonepayPlus launched a new program named PhoneBrain 2010 which has a main purpose to educate children about costs of program downloading via mobile phone. This program tries to teach children to protect themselves from being victims of some companies intending to deceive them.

In my opinion, this program is very helpful for not only children, but also adult. It helps people avoid unnecessary bill. Sometime, we don’t think about it but it can cause us financial problem. Some people have to face unaffordable cost of mobile phone. Therefore, it will be good if there are more companies concern about this problem and try to help consumers deal with it

  1. I think that most children who have their own phone do not concern about bill because their parents pay it for them. However, this program helps people solve the problem.

  2. I agree with Ann that most children don't need to pay a mobile phone bill by themselves because their parents pay it for them. Therefore, they don't much concern about it. However, parents cannot pay this for them forever. They should learn how to control their expenses including the mobile phone bill effectively and this device might be a good help to start doing it.

  3. I also agree that the device will be useful for children because they are not mature enough to consider which service is necessary. In doing things, many of them immitate their friends. Therefore, if there is something worning or ackhowlege them about what things to choose. I think I will help not only children but also their families.
