Seen it all before, I want my money back!

I was browsing through the Asia-Pacific section of BBC News earlier this afternoon, looking for an article features the major event in Thailand, seizing of Thaksinn's money, since I'm curious what would the BBCNews say about it. My mission finally completed and I found this article, "Thailand coup rumours circle Thaksin assets ruling". It's not focusing on the event but relates to it.

The author of this article went to interview people in military field, since the military is rumoured to plan on another coup, again. The important message that he is sending via this article is that "The young generation seems to be embracing new ways of thinking".
("Thailand coup rumours circle Thaksin assets ruling”, 2010, Show of strenght, ¶ 12) In this article, all of the interviewees seem to be consistent with each other, they all say that there is no plan of another coup and talk about what exactly is the role of the army. Even though, it still sounds like they're not willing to stand the elected government that harms the nation, the king, and the people, the three important things they say they would stand up for, it's not that they try to intervene. A military cadet says "Our role is to protect, and anyone who wants to get political should resign". ("Thailand coup rumours circle Thaksin assets ruling”, 2010, Show of strenght, ¶ 12)

This article shows that time has changed and
the military has to adapt themselves in order to satisfy the public. They've realized that Thai society already evolved, at least more evolved than 30 years ago. The democratic world finds coup and military regime unacceptable. And when more than half of the world is ruled by democratic government, the army need to be more careful with their move that involves with politic. The latest coup is a solid evidence saying that even though they success with the coup, they can not rule the country. I think their era is almost over, actually, the last coup is merely impossible mission for me. In the capitalized world, it's all about money and press. All I can say is that their "gold era" was finished for quite sometime. However, it is not impossible for the army to adapt very well and blend in with capitalism. So, I guess we have to wait and see. In the mean time, Thai people may face hard time during the war between the group of old rich and the group of new rich, and whoever wins, people always lose.
