Heathrow third runway opponents win court challenge

The article "Heathrow third runway opponents win court challenge " in BBC NEWS is catch my interest. THis article is about the high court's judgement on plans for a third runway at Heathrow Airport. The judge stated that said "the government's public consultation did not take account of the latest information on economic benefits and climate change and was based on figures which were eight years old". However, Prime Minister Gordon Brown said "the runway was still needed" and "entirely compatible with our carbon reduction target". Nowadays, Heathrow aieport runs at its full capacity. Therefore, airport expansion is necessary for UK economic growth in the future.

In my views, the Heatrow third runway expansion's plan should reviews. The govermant should consider public hearing to access the cost and benifit analysis of this project. However, the opponents should open up their minds for the benifit for their country. Althought, the expantion of the airports may cause undesired effects to the environment, the well-managed plan can absorb this effects.
