My academic interests cover many different areas. I love to read about Psychology because it help me understand human behavior. Most people always think people who fond in psychology must be able to know what others think in their mind but as far as I know human behaviors are caused by many different factor. There are no only one reason or one factor to cause people act a particular action, you may fold your arms because of feeling cold or feeling negative to what you face in that situation. However learning psychology helps me think differently, analise and understand people more.
Furthermore, I'm also interested in education.

Hi P'Rian! I think Psychology is an interesting topic. I agree with you that a person equipped with Psychology skills does not exactly know what others' thinking; it is a knowledge that benefits an individual's analysis. I think it is useful and can be adapted in any situation such as in company or in normal daily life.
ReplyDeletePsychology is cool! I like it too :P
ReplyDeleteIs behavioural economics close enough to psychology? That's a field that I've been following for a few years now, and I'm thinking of using a short essay in that field as a class reading - I like the way it intersects with both cultural anthropology and economics (the two topics we will cover in Quest) whilst bringing in some rigorous science. And my source is a reliable American academic with an excellent reputation, not a clever hoaxer.
ReplyDeleteYes Peter, as far as it involves to behavior of creatures - it is psychology.
