Sun's academic interest
As I graduated from the faculty of law, i couldn't deny that I'm particularly attracted to laws and regulations, especially corporate law which was my major when i was in the university and will also be my major when I will pursue my further study as a postgraduate student. Moreover, I have developed my interest in philosophy and history. My favourite magazine is of course the National Geographic since I have been its subscriber since i was a high school student.

It's nice to know you, Sun!!!
ReplyDeleteBecause I know just a few people connected with law stuff.
I have a dream to create my own company. And if that comes true, I may have many things to consult you haha.
Anyway, as we will go to study a postgraduate together in Edinburgh, lets have fun (^^)/
Hi pear, you are so fortunate knowing me since i will be a lawyer with expertise in corporate law. I would say forming a private company, drafting the Article of Association, appoint the board of directors, as well as, arranging the shareholders meetings were my routine task while i was working. i'm pleased to give you practical, useful advice upon your legal concerns. Nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you guys, lawyer and engineer :P
ReplyDeleteHow many current (or sort of current) AEP students are planning to pursue further studies in law at Edinburgh?
ReplyDeleteI always associate Edinburgh with David Hume - probably the greatest philosopher to have written in English, although others, such as Locke, have probably had a greater influence on English law.
I don't know much about actual law, but since some of my other interests include the concept of justice, I do like to read things like US Supreme Court opinions, which often cite philosophers both ancient and modern, and philosophers sometimes provide amici curiae briefs to the Court. US Supreme Court justices also tend to be highly educated and to write excellent academic English.
But I always consult a lawyer when I have an actual question about the law as it is practised.
