On page 20, Bixby and Scanlon (2013) give us couple of photographs and some questions to think about and respond to as preparation for the coming reading, "Designing Solutions".

Bixby and Scanlon's questions
What are some solutions humans have devised to overcome challenges in the following areas?
- agriculture / farming
- housing
- transportation
Choose the topic that most interests you, and start writing your response on that one. If you have time, move on to a second paragraph to respond with your ideas on solutions in the the next topic that interests you.
