The problem of oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico are interested by every country; so today I would like to present your about the progress of BP who take responsibility to stop the leak of rapture oil. I did read “Majority of BP spill 'dealt with' ” on BBC new.
BP had succeeded to plug rapture oil in the Gulf of Mexico by “static kill” procedure which uses hydrostatic pressure to pump the mud from surface to resist the leaking oil. Approximate 49 million barrels of oil has been released from the BP Deepwater Horizon well; however three-quarters of spilled oil has been cleaned by natural and human process such as evaporation, dissolution, and chemical.
In my opinion, BP takes too much time to stop oil leak that approximate 3.5 months after devastation explosion. Most people think that BP has no responsibility for this disaster but I think differently because it hardly for human to manage or fight with natural disaster; moreover the way to stop this problem have to use many of resources such as specialists, tool, material, and the weather also effect with work schedule. Consequently, BP declared to respond for stop flow of oil, clean up the environment damage and beach, care for wildlife, and meet people’s claim as show the progress in BP site. Although, US government declared that more than a half of spill oil have already removed or cleaned; however, many of animals were died, and ecology was destroyed.

Stopping the leak, BP Website,
I agree that people often (not just sometime) can't fight with natural disaster.
ReplyDeleteBut I think BP have to have more responsibility because ,from what I know, this problem is happen because not only natural disaster, but also equipments on their platform aren't at 100% operated.
I agree that BP should be held responsible for all the damage to the environment. Every oil firm should be made to pay for full environmental recovery, and they can pass the cost on to oil users, which would be fair. THe people who drive their cars in cities should be paying to repair damage done to the places where their gas comes from.
