does this situation give you a some kind of impression?
sometimes, we dream this kind of situation, But when i read "Gandhi villagers complain of 'betrayal'" , i realized that all the people do not dream about that.
Acting for the more power
When election will be approached, politicians start to act as a good man.
It was happened in India as well. In the play, the main actors were 2 politicians, one person was MR Gandhi, the most famous politician in India and the other was UK Foreign secretary David Miliband. In that time, David Miliband did show the acting of the best. He slept the night with cattles in a hut of indian rural area. He may can be the one of cadidate a academy award for this.
Even though he finished the play very sucessfully, the villagers did complain of "betrayal" as they said they are living as same as before.
While he was sleeping the night in a hut of India,
what he was "dreaming" about?
And while he was sleeping the night in a hut of India,
what the villagers was "dreaming" about?

When I was a child, I loved the idea of sleeping out in a tent or "hut in the back of beyond", but I'm not so keen on it these days.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes visit villages with Thai friends and stay in their family homes, and I have to agree with them that a bigger, more modern house would be a very good thing. (And I don't like to stay in a small village for more than a couple of days.)
I believe that the poverty rate in India is higher than in thailand, so their dreams for better lives are probably even more reasonable than the persistently, and deliberately, thwarted dreams of millions of rural Thai people.
I know this is not directly on Yun Il's topic, but it was my response, and that's all that's required here.
Yu nil,
ReplyDeleteWith my slight knowledge about this topic, I think it normally for every politicians, all around the world, to act as they are good persons. I don't know about politicians in US, Korea, and Australia but in Thailand, in my opinion, there are as many good politicians as the amount of white crow(s).
thanks god. i got 2 comment.
ReplyDeletei'd like to say about "giving a comment"
last time, we just talked about how to increase the skill of writing, and we goa an answer as "read alot". giving a comment means read, first. and yes we should read our friend's writing and the article as well. and we should think what i going to give a comment.
so i think if we give a some comment aa we can, it will give a good skill of writing.
so we just try it! No one will judge our comment.
i must say another opinion of this writing...
ReplyDeletei hope we try to give a comment or try to read all writings of friends. i'd like to write about which what i want to say, and it just should not be getting a comment or for catching a attention.
It's reasonable that people will comment on the issues that interest them, and not every post is going to excite everyone's interest equally.
ReplyDeleteI want you write at least one substantial comment (more than one sentence) at least five days a week, but I don't think it would be reasonable to expect that everyone comment on every post - we don't have time to that, however much we might like to.
Yun Il also reminds us of the importance of reading. If you want to write well, you have to read and understand what you've read. Which is why I ask you to read a bit more than the short articles in Quest, which are generally well chosen to illustrate valuable skills for academic reading and writing, but which aren't really enough for a six week course.
yes you're right. i just want to say, we just try and try! it will give us "encouragement" to write
