Right to Choose
Yesterday August 4th in USA. They have an augment about the right of gay people to marry between gay people and conservative religion people. This becomes a big issue that interest entire American citizen. Now people are divided to be two sides the one supports gay marriage, and the other one against it. The measure was passed in a ballot referendum; the result was 52%: 48% by the vote. Therefore, gay people come out and fight for their right.
Personally, Love is not limited within only in heterosexual but also in homosexual. Gay people they have right to choose what they want to do in their life, and they are human; therefore, they should be supported equally in society. However, some conservative people that they come out and against this. That is their right to speak up but it should not interfere other people. Their believe in heterosexual does not mean that everyone in the world has to be like what they want them to be, but everyone has the right to do whatever they like. From conservative people perspective, they think that homosexual marriage is going to cause problem for the new generation and they think this is mental illness that can be treated. So far, I don’t see any ways that gay people cause any problem but most of them are succeed in working. Moreover, homosexual it is not mental illness, but it is what people born to be. In short, I don’t think homosexual marriage is something that’s wrong, but it just the right of humanity that people they have chosen the way of their life.

I agree that homosexual is not wrong but I think it really is an illness.
ReplyDeleteI totally disagree with you phase "So far, I don’t see any ways that gay people cause any problem" because from my direct experience, sometime they are too much offensive to one who aren't their type. It is a problem and, sorry to say this, they are frightening.
Thank you Aim,
ReplyDeleteIt's a topic that caught my interest, too. I'm curious as to what others think now that Math has kicked the comments off with some disagreement.
I had a slight different idea as I was reading your post, a question actually: should there be any restrictions on who adults may legally marry? I mean, for example, should a woman be able to marry three men and two women if she wants to? Or should people be able to marry themselves? Is there any good reason for the modern restriction of marriages to one other person at a time?
Thanks for a thought provoking post.
