Indian Media firm set to release first video game

When I got on the internet today I have read an interesting article on BBC website which it all about an Indian’s technology. The topic of this article is “An Indian firm is aiming to be a global player in the video”.

As reported to the BBC online article, An Indian chairman of media & entertainment company, UTV group announce that they had invested £75m in three game titles and they go to make game box and software. The industry experts doubt they will be success because the India use pirate and they don’t think the user will pay normal price. They also say India will follow China and Korea that the users go online to play the game. So, they don’t have to pay for game box or software.

After I finished read the article I think the problem is about "coppyright", if every countries follow the rule this problem won't happen in any country.

  1. May says that the problem is that countries don't follow copyright rules, but I'm not sure that I agree. I think the problem is that millions of ordinary people don't follow the rules: they buy illegal DVDs, use illegal computer programs, criminally download copyright material and so on.
What do others think? Is the problem caused by countries or by ordinary people stealing things like music, programs, games, films and so on?
