Silent chattering with orangutan

A team of Cadana have reported that orangutan use gestures to explain what they meant. Mostly, we use guestures to express our feelings instead of telling. But Gesture would work most useful when we can't communicate each other. The team found orangutan try to communicate by gestures when they have a message to humanbeing. An orangutan called Cindy saw a conservationist using an umbrella. After that, Cindy held out her open hand, the gesture she wanted it. They even use gesture eachother which is very complex. Scientist said, if we find our more about the scilence of their conversation,it will also help to understand how human language evolved. If we understand what their gesture means, i hope that someday we might have a slient chattering with orangutan. Can you even imagine what they're going to talk about? Who knows someday we might have orangutan dictionary.

  1. Yu nil,
I think I have more than enough problem by chatting with humans and try to understand them, so I have no interest in "chatting" with any non-humans anymore.
I think the scientist must research about "how can guys communicate well with gals",if they want to catch my interest, but I understand that this topic is more difficult.

  2. Yu nil,
I think it would be great if human could talk to animal, so we could knew more about nature. May be, Human is not the cleverest creature in this world.

  4. Yu nil,
The scientists are not that busy, but they don't dare study. From my "research", in all species of animals around the world, the female humans are the hardest to understanding.
