North Korea's nuclear reactor may already be back !!!

Our world has passed two huge wars, World War I & II, and the weapons used in each war are getting more and more powerful leading to more severe damage. To illustrate, there are 16 million people died in World War I and there are 80 million people died in World War 2.

The BBC News's "North Korea 'may have restarted Yongbyon nuclear reactor'" reported that there are obviously evidences from satellite pictures and melting pattern of snow showing that North Korea may have started one of its nuclear reactor, shut down in 2007, relating to its nuclear weapons programme.
Yongbyon nuclear reactor
I always hear some news about North Korean that they have a nuclear weapons programme to threaten other countries especially USA, South Korea and Japan and sometimes to negotiate with other rich countries to get some economics benefits. I think it is a very bad and unethical to do like these that use many people to be hostages. The leader should be more honorable than this.

As you can see in many medias, There are many conflicts between each country especially between powerful countries in our world today. There are many different causes such as boundary problem, economic problem, difference in nationality and religion problem, terrorist and violence problem etc. Each problem are very sensitive and difficult to solve. Therefore, the easiest way to deal with these problems is always using violence.

Nuclear explosion
In human history especially in prehistorical period and ancient age, there are many wars starting as a will to ends many conflicts but ,at last, it couldn't really end because it had a revenge coming later. There is neither side really get advantages from wars. Both of them are damaged and getting loss. So, why not we use peaceful methods to due with these problems? People have much more complex brain than animals, why not use it more effectively?

  1. I think North Korea doesn't have much thing to negotiate with other nations. The only two things what Kim can do are using the harmful nuclear weapon which will detroy the world and also his mother land, and the poor North Koreans' life. That's why Kim always threaten the world with his nuclear weapon.

By the way, I totally agree with you that using violence is not the answer to solve the problem. It might finish for while when you use it but not for a long term peace.

  2. Knut's concluding sentence prompted this response in my mind: but we are animals. Whatever we might be capable of, and whatever differences there might be, human beings are animals and along with our DNA, we have a lot in common with other animals, including, perhaps, a lot of basic psychology (to introduce our topic from Quest).

    2. I agree with you that some human's behaviors are in common with other animals.

By the way, for me, I think moral is the thing that seperate us from other animals even though we can see many immoral behaviors from human today.
