2 meals a day can keeps diabetes away

Seems like in the present we're going to be more careful for our health because many medicines and treatments have been created everyday. We're now getting more option to take care ourself by taking supplementary food but daily nutrition is still essential.

According to "Two meals a day 'effective' to treat type 2 diabetes" , reseachers found that eating 2 meals a day can be more effective in losing weight more than those who eat 6 meals a day and it's surprising that the group which took 2 meals a day were not hungry in the evening.

I think eating two meals a day is interesting for losing weight and getting into shape. but maybe it's hard for people who love doing exercise or sportive because when we use our energy it's absolutely starving after that. It reminds me how did I lose 45 kilograms in 3 years.

I used my grade 9 (matthayom3) long vacation in a hospital with type 2 diabetes symptoms. It was suffering for me because I can't go out to hanging out with my friends like the others did in the last summer before starting life as a high school period. They controlled my calories and i ate 1,500 calories a day. I still remembered the moment when the nurse came in, she told me that I was tend to be moved to ICU room and maybe became coma later. That was the most horrible thing ever happened in my life. Anyway, I didn't give up. I kept fighting until the end of 3 months treatment in a hospital, I lost 17 kilograms at that time by swimming and doing physical therapy.

Nowadays I'm happy being like this and I still keeping on exercise by doing yoga and eating much fruits and vegetables. I wish my story would inspires anyone who wants to lose weight. For me, The thin i have to consider the most is not about how sick I'll be in the future, I only think that how will I reach my goal and feel happy with my life.

  1. I agree with Van that eating just two meals a day would be good for controlling weight, but I would be surprised if I were not hungry in the evening.

  2. My grandmother often don't eat dinner. She said that she sleep sleep well with empty stomach. This story also reminds me not to drink too much sweet beverages such as cola and canned coffee which I partially addicted to it.

Two meals a day is good for your shape, but you shouldn't skip breakfast or lunch because if you skip breakfast, you will eat more in your lunch time and if you skip lunch, you will eat more in dinner time. My teacher at the faculty said that if you are going to skip a meal, skipping dinner would be the most effective way to lost weight.

    1. Personally, I think that eating 2 meals a day might be a good choice to lose weight but I wondering that is it possible to cause gastritis or not?

  4. The important point that we should be careful is not only our shape, but also our health. Eating two meals a day is good and enough ,but we must think about the nutrients in every meal we eat. My friend used to losing weight by eating just two meals like in article said, the result was good because she looked thinner, but she didn't worry about the nutrients. She ate salad and fruits everyday without any carbohydrate and protein, so two weeks after starting to lose weight, she was admitted to the hospital after losing consciousness in the badminton class. That's why I am serious about what I eat in breakfast, this meal should have some carbohydrate, such as bread and rice, to make me have enough energy for doing many activities all day.
