Processed food, processing life

Have you ever eaten processed food? Is it good or bad?

According to http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20140508-we-must-rethink-processed-food, increasing of population and the effects of climate change contribute people to face with protein deficiency and use processed food which has bad reputations, but it is not causing an unhealthiness, says Zorpette, Executive Editor of engineering magazine. Moreover, because of growing up with these substitutes, in order to have wellbeing, it is not too hard to create an application which can tell one’s nutritional need, measure people’s activities, or even have a machine which can print out any food.

I am a fan of processed food. Although I know it does not have enough nutrition and load with carbohydrate, sugar, or sodium, I still consume it. With my hot-tempered behaviour, this food can meet my demand rightly, because I can cook it in short time.

In my opinion, not only processed food will people be popular, but also other prepared food, ready-to-cook, ready-to-eat, frozen food, or even ready-to-drink. Because people nowadays live in high competitive society, every minute is important. Thus, many food companies research and develop their products in order to serve on demand’s people. This is easy to buy, virtually every corner of the street. In addition, technological advances, they can produce many innovation of food products, for example, last year, CP launched a new menu, soft-boiled egg which is my favourite one. I think this dish is not easy, I have to control heat and time to make a proper soft-boiled egg, but CP did it. No one thinks before that we can buy it at convenience store.

I think every processed food consumer concerns in effects that come with this food, but sometimes they can not avoid. Therefore, if new technologies can solve this point, create a meal which is full of nutritive value, fit on person’s need and more convenient, it is better, right?

  1. Cool post!
But my brain's getting mushy from too much hard work, brought about by the excellent motivation of your class. I need to take a break and get some nutrients. And today I had lunch with a Thai friend and his seven-year-old son at Paragon, after which we went shopping in the excellent supermarket at Paragon, so I have a fridge and shelves full of tasty treats to eat without any preparation: should I have the salmon soup, or the salad, or some figs, or a few pistachios and olives, or all of the above? I'm saving the Unagi for my snack while I'm watching the last Bond film again before I go so sleep.

It's fun, but not cheap, going shopping with seven-year-old boys who have a healthy appetite for great food.

  2. I am one who like eating processed foods with the same reason as you wrote. I have many menus of processed foods in the refrigerator and they help someone who can't cook food like me very much. It's easy to put some of them together, make a new menu to eat. Although I know that the nutrition in this kind of foods is decreased, but it make more convenient life, so I think the processed food is suitable for me.

  3. I like processed food only when I'm really hungry and in rush, Chinese bun with custard cream flavour is my favourite menu from 7-11. It's very convenient when every processed food is available in 7-11. even boiled egg is also available there. Anyway, fresh food always be the best for me.

  4. Although processed food can be cooked in a short time, it doesn't has enough nutrition. Processed food can damage your organs and cause unhealthy condition, but I still eat it anyway.

  5. I like your blog post that reminds me what I eat for life today. I also buy processed meals when I am not at home. But i like them because most of them are tasty and ready to eat like many kind of fast food. I knew that processed food have less nutrient so I would have additional supplementary from fresh fruit and vegetable to fulfill my dish as well.

  6. Actually, I think that the processed food is very convenient and very compatible with our hurry lifestyle. However, I rarely have processed food when I have nothing to eat or I am lazy because I like cooking so I would rather have fresh food.

I agree with you that CP product, soft-boiled egg, is really awesome. I like to eat soft-boiled egg too.
