Pollution absorbing poster !

Nowadays, as technologies and population rapidly grow, pollution is increasingly released from a variety of sources such as vehicles, factories, garbage and houses. Considering all kinds of pollution, air pollution is the real public health and environmental problem we are facing today worldwide, especially in the big city.

According to "Nanotech poster absorbs pollution", scientists now can invent a poster that compose of nanoparticles of titanium dioxide which can clean up the air by eating up nitrogen oxides. Another idea, scientists are working on is to add these nanoparticles to washing powder, so your clothes washed by these powder can absorb pollution.

This is an very interesting news. I think this invention will work perfectly in big cities all over the world. Planting tree besides the road seems to be a good solution, but there are not enough places for planting trees. With this invention, combined with planting trees, the effectiveness of reducing pollution in the big city might significantly increase. However, the cost of this nano-poster will be surely expensive. Scientists should continue working on how to reduce the cost of this poster, so that people can afford it.

I have never thought before that nanotechnology can do such a thing. I thought nanotechnology can only be used in clothes industry. Reading about this news helps me realize that such technology have many benefits to our lifes. Who knows what benefits we might find from nanotechnology ?

  1. This is new for me too. I am wondering about this invention because I have never thought before that nanotechnology can do like this, moreover, it will help us from air pollution that we face everyday. I really hope that it will be used in Bangkok someday because there are too many pollution from industrial factories and vehicle, such as cars, motorcycles, took-took and trains. If we can't avoid them, this invention is a new choice for us to protect ourselves from them.

But I don't think about planting trees in bkk too much because we don't have enough spaces to plant them, we only see the building almost everywhere. I just think that if we use this invention in Thailand, it will be very useful to make the air clearer.

  2. What a good invention! I don't know much about nitrogen oxides, but I agree with On that Bangkok should try this.

  3. It is a good idea that we can use Nanotech poster to absorbs pollution. In Thailand, planting tree besides the road might be a good solution, but it takes a long time to grow the tree.I also want to learn about nanotechnology because i think nanotechnology can help cure people faster and improve many technology.

  4. I think this is a good way and also new idea to solve Global warming problem, but the producer must make sure that the procedures of making this product must not give any harms or bad effects to our environment. So this is the true method for saving our world.

  5. That's very cool! We should study and use this technology more in Thailand, especially in Bangkok, In the future, we may see the poster the can absorb all the pollution, not only nitrogen dioxide, but also carbon waste.

  6. this is such a very good news!!! this news show the fact that even technological progress leads to many today's problems, but it can be an effective resolution at the same time. However, as pop mentioned in his response that its price is surely high. this may make the environmental issue are hard to be solved, because no one want to spend their money for the other -- i mean environmental are public resource -- it is for every one -- so no one want to spend their money for public resource, right? for example, no one want to use their money to repair pulic road alone, because the ruin of that public road isn't from only one's use, it's from every one. so i think the environment will still be a hard problem to be solved, even if technology allow me to have potential. maybe the potential isn't the problem but the concern.

    1. I also have some concern about this Technology. Is this poster naturally decay? How long would it take?

  8. I think things are getting better - I'm sure that the air in Bangkok is cleaner today than it was twenty years ago. But I might be wrong - I haven't checked the relevant statistics on air pollution today and twenty years ago, so my guess is just that: a guess.

And technology like Pop describes helps our world to improve. In fact, I think most things are getting better as science and technology, even customs and morals, progress and improve.
