200 Nigerian girls : Where are you?

In today's world, kidnapping is still a crime against humanity, and children are always victims. Recently, I have read about abducting more than 200 Nigerian girls in the world news section of the BBC News, and this makes me want to figure out what is going on in Nigeria.

According to “Nigeria missing girls : President makes first comments," it seems like Nigerian people are not happy with what the government did in order to find more than 200 Nigerian girls who were kidnapped about three weeks ago. Everyone all around the world is waiting them to be back, and also wondering what exactly the people who are suspected to be behind this kidnapping really want.

I was fairly shocked when I read this news because it is quite hard to believe that a lot of children could be kidnapped at the same time. Furthermore, all of them are girls. They need to be helped as soon as possible because no one knows what is happening to them. Hopefully, they are still safe. Islamist militants known as Boko Haram are suspected to be behind the abducting. It is still mysterious why they did it. In my opinion, religious conflict might be one of the causes. In addition to this, it seems like Boko Haram wants to do thing against the government in order to make the power countries (The United States, The United Kingdom, France, etc) take action. Subsequently, the war in Nigeria might be begun.

According to the government actions, people are getting angry because the government can do nothing, and this leads to the protest of women in Abuja. I think the President, Goodluck Jonathan, should find the way to negotiate with Boko Haram and figure out what they really want because this is the only chance to make the girls safe. Furthermore, this situation should be solved by Nigerian government instead of some other western countries because if the western nations take action, it could be a civil war, and it would cause a lot of people die. Actually, kidnapping is always a big problem in African nations. According to “Joseph Kony kidnapped 591 in past three years, UN report reveals,” Joseph Kony is the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a querrilla group which used to operate in Uganda. His army kidnapped a lot of children in order to force boys to make magical potions and turn girls into sex slaves. Currently, no one can arrest him, and nobody knows where he exactly is.

Hopefully, all of children who are abducted now are still safe and will get back home soon. All these militants or armies must be stopped in order to make a peace in everywhere all around the world.
