Pop's academic interests

I have many academic interests such as doing research, becoming a doctor and improving my skills in English. Right now, I'm concern about improving my skills in English. Why is that? Well, as I'm a citizen of Thailand and Thailand is about to participate in the upcoming AEC, I think it is important to learn how to use English in order to communicate with other people from different countries. It's quite difficult to me because I rarely use English in my everyday life. While in Miama, for instance, they are used to English because it once had been conquered by the UK.

  1. I agree with you that English is necessary for education and AEC, but I don't like improving linguistic skill by reading a text book. I prefer reading novel and follow the subtitle when I watch movie. It's better way for me to improve the skill.

  2. Yes, I totally do agree with you that English is important. I believe that if you can communicate English very well, it will be a key for your successful future and your career path. I also want to practice English too. I wish that our English will be improved after the AEP class.

  3. Oddly, I didn't like English all that much when I was in high school. I remember the first time I read Shakespeare: our boring teacher managed to make all the action in Macbeth, the blood, the murders, the plotting, the ghosts and witches ... dull and boring! That was an achievement because even though the language is a difficult, the play has lots of things to appeal to 12 - 13 year old boys like me and my first year class. Fortunately, I had some more inspiring ENglish teachers later, and recovered from my dislike of English.

Actually, even though I didn't enjoy those classes, I did always read a lot - at least a couple of novels every week, along with some non-fiction. Perhaps I always liked the language, and just didn't like some of the teaching.

  6. I'm always in the state like I used to know the words for a long time but when I have to use it or make a speech, the words are just like missing from my head. Still trying to fix this problem until today.
