My academic interest is American politics. USA serve as a role model for modern democracy. Everyone hope that they will respect both of majority and minority including any individual in their society but the patriot act changed this believe. This act is caused by the terrorist attacks. The individuals are restricted their privacy for security reason. Amazingly, American people who is crazy for their rights obey this act but there sill controversy topic.
The other subject that I think it is interesting is Human Rights. In this 21 century, human rights is still huge problem. There are human trafficking or child pornography in every country market. Even in little things like speaking in public still be restricted in many country.

I learned some of this topic in my history class, a few years ago. I found that American society is an interesting case study for these controversial issues-privacy and Human Rights. I also found that some European countries, such as France, are discussing these problems as well. It would be fun if you compare these two continents.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it must be fun to compare and analyze this two continents in human rights and privacy topic but I have not study about contemporary France before. Thanks for introduce me to this country. I would be definitely study it further.
DeleteAmerican politics alone is challenging, so I'll cheer for you. :)
