Paeng's Academic Interests

My academic interests apart from what I studied in the university is science. I like to read the articles and video clips describing about new species or new miracle way to cure disease. I am particular interested in in the discovery of new life or animals in an extreme condition on Earth or on the other planets. In addition, I find that the new way to fight with serious decease like cancer by using traditional method is very interesting.

These fields of academic interest began when i was in high school.

  1. I also enjoy reading about the discovery of new species. A couple of science magazines are on my weekly reading list.

And your comment about planets reminds me that at the moment I'm watching Carl Sagan's brilliant Cosmos, where this great astronomer skillfully explains some of the amazing things about our universe, the role of humans in it, and how the human quest for knowledge has battled with other human desires throughout history.

I think Sagan's series came out in the 1980s, and that long enough ago that it's noticeable how much he does not know about the universe that is known today, such as the accurate estimates of the age of the universe and it's size. But it's sort of nostalgic watching this again after so many years.

    1. Thanks for sharing your view here. Talking about astronomer remind me of the night sky we can see from our earth. I went to Yellowstone two years ago and I have to admit that it is the most fascinating night sky I have ever seen. I am sure I wouldn't miss a chance to visit there again during my master year.

  2. Your academic interest is very similar to mine. I am interested about new innovations too. We should go read some scientific books together sometimes. I saw a really nice place to read book yesterday and if you have some free time after you finished homework (assigned by Peter) we can go there together.
    Love you
