DotA (Defense of the Ancient) is one of the most famous game in Thailand. It is a game where 5 person team up against another team of 5. The objective in winning this game is destroy the enemy towers and bases. Each player will be given a character from more than 100 characters for achieving a victory. So the strategy must be made before everyone choose a character in order to combine each character's ability and utilize it to the fullest.
First, we have to brainstorm the characters for countering another team's potential characters. For instance, if we see a lot of late game character, we might want to choose an early game character for shutting down those late game player. Then we organize those interesting hero which has synergies altogether. This step is very crucial because if you only want to counter another team character, you may not do well in team fight because each player can't help each other really well.
Next is drafting a team, in this process we have to do it while banning some of the character which may jeopardizing your plan. This step is also dangerous, while you are banning their character you can also get banned so when we do the banning we might have to hide our intention in some extent.
After our game finished, we have to review our plan by watching the game replays. Sometimes our plan work and we have to find out why? It is also the same when we lost, we have to find the reasons for it. Then revising our plan by changing the characters or the formation when we engaging the enemies or maybe changing the style for example prolonging the game instead of rushing it. This will give our late game character time to get strong enough to take down the enemies.
Finally we publish our plan by using it in ranking matches against another pro/amateur player in the tournament.
